Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

imageSungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is Singapore's first ASEAN Heritage Park and a premier 130-hectare nature reserve in the northwest, renowned for its rich biodiversity, extensive mangrove forests, and its role as a vital stopover for migratory birds. The reserve features boardwalks, birdwatching huts, and offers visitors opportunities to observe wildlife such as crocodiles, otters, and mudskippers.

Migratory Bird Trail

This 1.95km trail is excellent for bird watching. With bird hides and shelters along the trail, you will be able to spot resident birds such as herons, kingfishers, sunbirds, and egrets. Between August to April, get a chance to spot migratory birds that have travelled from as far as the Arctic region to rest and feed at the Reserve.

Mangrove Boardwalk

This is an 500m or 3km easy walk that introduces you to the mangrove forest and brings you close to the trees and wildlife, all without needing to get your feet wet or muddy. Look out for mudskippers, monitor lizards, mud lobsters, crabs, spiders and more.

Coastal Trail

This 1.3km trail is perfect for families and schools. Explore the various habitats from freshwater ponds to mudflats and mangroves, and understand the flora and fauna that lives here. There are also many scenic spots along the way, such as at the Eagle Point or Kingfisher Pod.

Forest Trail

This 300m short and easy walk is suitable for all ages to enjoy nature. The trail leads to the Mid-canopy Walk.

Mid-canopy walk

This elevated 150m-long boardwalk lets you immerse yourself understory of a secondary forest, where you can spot birds such as the Pied Fantail, and insects such as cicadas, which reside in the mid-canopy region and forest floor.

Junior Wetland

Located near the Visitor Centre, this rehabilitated freshwater pond is home to a diverse array of plants and animals. It offers an ideal spot for observing dragonflies, fish and the White-breasted Waterhen. Stroll along the stone steps for a closer look at these creatures and more.

Kranji Reservoir Park

imageWith designated fishing areas and panoramic views of the Johor Straits, this park is a favourite of both fishing enthusiasts and weekend picnickers.

Kranji Reservoir

imageOpened for fishing in 1985, Kranji Reservoir Park has two fishing grounds. Other than being a great fishing ground, Kranji Reservoir Park is also steeped in Singapore's history. A war memorial plaque commemorates the Battle of Kranji. Under the ABC Waters Programme, the facilities at Kranji Reservoir has been upgraded with improvements to the toilets, car parks and area lighting to enhance visitors experience to the reservoir and park.
